Warning - Antivirus 2010/2009/2008/XP pop-up
If you are seeing pop-ups warning you that your PC is infected and to buy the above mentioned software - don't do it. It is fake AV software and it in itself is a threat that needs to be removed. It's a wide spread problem and I've had to clean several PC's infected with this virus - call me.
Virus/Spyware Removal
Does your computer run slow, are you plagued by constant pop-up windows while surfing the internet, have you lost your Home page? Your computer may be infected with a virus or spyware.
Have you run your virus scans, Spybot and Adaware and are still plagued by pop-ups? You may be infected with CWS (CoolWebSearch) or the Lop installer. These are two of the more difficult infections to detect and remove.
I have the tools to detect and remove these infections as well as software to install to help prevent future occurances.
My recommended software tool kit is all shareware software that can be downloaded for free.
- New PC Setup
You've got the computer out of the box, now what do you do? Can you connect to your printer, connect to the internet, are you safe from viruses and spyware? Is your computer startup slow because of all the unnecessary programs Dell, HP, etc. load at startup?
I can customize your desktop, set up user accounts for all family members, install all current drivers, connect you to the internet, optimize your startup, and configure virus and spyware removal software.
- Home Network Setup
Do you have multiple PC's and want to share your broadband internet connection? Do you want to use your laptop anywhere in your house or yard without wires?
Let me install a secure wireless network so you can share your boardband connection, share printers and share files or just use your laptop throughout your house.
Do you have a wireless network but it is not secured using Wi-Fi Protected Access (WPA)? Let me secure your network.
- System Upgrades
Microsoft has announced the end of support for Windows XP SP2 and Windows 2000 effective July 13, 2010. If you are sticking with XP you must upgrade to SP3. If you are running Windows 2000 now is the time to upgrade to Windows 7 or buy that new computer. For those running Vista you should be running Serice Pack 2 (SP2). Confusing? Let me upgrade your system. If you are concerned about Windows 7, don't be - it's great.
Does your Intel Wireless 2200BG/2915ABG card continuously drop connections or drop speed? A firmware or driver upgrade is probably all that's needed to fix the problem.
- Hardware Upgrades
- Memory Upgrades - You should have at least 512MB to run Windows XP and at least 1GB to run Vista or Windows 7.
- Install larger hard drives
- Install DVD burners
- CPU and motherboards
- TV tuners and PVR recorders
